Cast and Crew Call For Yeah, No, For Sure

The title page for the table-read revision of Yeah, No, For Sure.

At the end of May 2023, I’m going to shoot my first narrative short film, Yeah, No, For Sure. I’m looking for actors and crew to join an established, enthusiastic, LGBTQIA+-friendly team to help make this ambitious, festival-bound film a reality.

Yeah, No, For Sure is a romantic dramedy about letting go and moving on. A year out from her disastrous marriage, Georgia is finally ready to start dating again. The only problem is that her best friend is the memory of the one that got away — and while he’s around, everyone else suffers by comparison. Can Georgia let go of the present past to embrace the future?

The shoot is scheduled for May 20 to May 24, 2023.

Elliot (F, 30s) is Georgia’s close friend. She talks fast, texts with a lot of exclamation points, and is a force of good-natured chaos. Two scenes, May 20 and May 21.

Chris (M, 30s) is going on a date with Georgia. He’s a gentle, generally oblivious guy who has a good heart, but is a terrible match for Georgia. One scene, May 23 (plus a possible appearance on May 21).

Gabriel (M, 30s-40s) is Georgia’s ex-husband. When Georgia’s hope falters, he manipulates her into giving him another chance, only to reveal himself to be as selfish and awful as he was during their marriage. One scene, May 22.

I’m also looking for an experienced crew, including a cinematographer. All our equipment will be provided by OU. If you’re interested, tell me about your skills and experience, and let’s make a movie together!
